Traverse the Polish Tatras: 4-Day Mountain Adventure Join us for an unforgettable four-day trail running traverse across the majestic Polish Tatra Mountains! Starting from the wide trails of Dolina Chochołowska, this journey takes you deep into the heart of the Tatras, running through dramatic alpine valleys, scenic ridges, and iconic mountain passes before finishing near Morskie Oko. By day, you’ll experience world-class mountain running o. By night, you’ll soak in the mountaineering atmosphere, staying in historic PTTK mountain huts high in the valleys. Included in the Trip: - certified Tatra mountain guide - mountain hut accommodation - airport Transfers Not Included: - flights: Round-trip flights to Kraków (typically 1,000–1,500 SEK depending on origin and booking time). - food & drinks at the mountain huts (typically 150-200sek for huge dinner). Day 1: Western Tatras Ridge Line Stats: ~22 km | +1500m/-1300m A gentle warmup run along the Chochołowska Valley leads to Polana Chochołowska. From there, a steep climb brings you to Grześ (1653m), followed by a scenic ridge run over Rakoń to Wołowiec (2063m). A technical, fast descent through Wyżnia Chochołowska and over the Iwaniacka Pass leads directly to the cozy Ornak Hut in Dolina Kościeliska. Day 2: Red Peaks Ridge Running Stats: ~20 km | +1600 m / -1300m Start early with a sustained climb up Ciemniak (2096 m). You’ll traverse the Red Peaks (Czerwone Wierchy)—a fast, rolling alpine ridge with panoramic views over Poland and Slovakia. From Kopa Kondracka, continue along the ridge to Kasprowy Wierch before descending into Dolina Gąsienicowa to reach Murowaniec Hut. Day 3: Entering the High Tatras Stats: ~18 km | +1200m / -1100m Leaving Hala Gąsienicowa, run past Czarny Staw Gąsienicowy lake and climb up to Kozia Pass (Kozia Przełęcz). This is a technical section secured with chains where you will need to slow down and scramble carefully. Descend through Dolina Pusta into the Valley of Five Lakes, home to Poland's highest-altitude mountain hut. Day 4: Szpiglasowy Wierch & Descent Stats: ~19 km |+750m/ -1450m Climb out of the Valley of Five Lakes up to Szpiglasowy Wierch (2172m) for final high-altitude views across both the Polish and Slovak Tatras. Descend the well-maintained switchbacks down to Morskie Oko lake. After a quick break by the water, finish with a fast, gradual downhill run out to Palenica Białczańska. Day 5 - cultural experience - explore Zakopane and enjoy hot springs and sauna.
